Resiliency During Culture Change
Jilian has been the zoo director of Turtle Back zoo since 2020. She has spent over 20 years in the industry starting as a zookeeper and working her her way up. Previously, she was at the Smithsonian where she focused on animal welfare and research. Currently she is on the steering committee for Felid TAG, helping create several husbandry, reproductive and safety courses, as well as newly appointed to the AZA Safety committee. Jilian also acts as the SSP coordinator and international studbook keeper for Clouded leopard.
